Food is such an important part of social functions, I asked Patricia if she’d share one of her real life Bridge Club favorites with us. This dip is not only good, it will disappear in a heartbeat.
Maybe if we ask nicely, Patricia would share all the recipes from the Bridge Club with us on her blog. Swing by and ask her.
Artichoke/Asiago Dip for veggies, crackers, toasts
• 2 cups grated asiago cheese
• ½ cup mayonnaise
• ½ cup sour cream or ½ cup plain yogurt
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 2 garlic cloves
• 6 -8 ounces marinated artichoke hearts
• ½ teaspoon lemon juice
Directions:
1. Mash up the artichoke hearts in a bowl along with the minced garlic.
2. Add the other ingredients.
3. Mix it all together and refrigerate until using.
4. All the proportions can be tweaked according to personal preference. You can also serve this recipe hot! The cheese gets all melty and yummy!
Note: The Bridge Club actually prefers it hot! This is mentioned in The Bridge Club when the ladies are driving up north and enjoying their traveling cocktail party in the van.
Thanks so much Patricia! I can’t wait to try this, as soon as I can lay my hands on Asiago Cheese that is.
What’s your favorite dip for a get together?
OMG YUM!! And something I think even I could make! YEAHHH!!! I shall print out and try it for my next gals gathering in honor of you both.
One of my fav dips for get togethers is guacamole!! YUM!!
Yay! I’ll have to make this. I’ll have to snack on it while I finish Patricia’s book. 🙂
This is one of my favorite dips ever! Oh, just think how yummy it would be on some French bread fresh from the oven… YUM.
I don’t often make dip! One of my Favorites is Spinach Dip. (Served with Hawaiian bread, yum.)
